Born in 1970 in Aichkirchen close to Lambach, Upper Austria. Studies in concerts at the University of Music, Vienna, initially with Professor Peter Schmidl, then in the class of Johann Hindler, ultimately with Ernst Ottemsamer, final examinations passed with a distinction. Since 2002, post-graduate studies in the clarinet with Professor Alois Brandhofer at the Mozarteum University of Music in Salzburg. Graduate of several master courses, including with Professor Alfred Prinz. Between 1991 and 1996, substitution activity including at the Viennese Philharmonic, the Viennese State Opera, at the Radio symphony orchestra in Vienna and in the Theater an der Wien.
Since 1997, solo clarinettist in the Mozarteum orchestra, Salzburg. Since 1997, regular appearance as a solo clarinettist at the Camerata, Salzburg.
